Hi friends.
I just wanted to let you all know that I have just put up for sale my Poetry/Photo Zine titled ‘Poems for Mum’.
This is not a slick, print-perfect photo zine – it was made by hand using rudimentary DIY zine-making techniques to replicate the character of the original 1960s analog zine style. Every copy of this zine is slightly different because they are duplicated from a cardboard master copy which was made by printing every photograph individually & then cutting/gluing them in place, as well as using a typewriter to copy, cut & glue in every poem.
The zine contains a collection of black & white family photographs & original poems by me, expertly typed up on my beloved typewriter by my one & only Mother. The poems are created around the exploration & celebration of my own Mother, our ever-evolving relationship & the undeniably profound role she has taken in shaping me into the woman I exist as today.
The zine contains 7 original poems with an assortment of accompanying black & white photographs from our family’s photo archive.
A5 in size.
