Stock Photo Outtakes Vol. 1 – “Well Travelled”

Hi friends,

I wanted to share with you the following photographs I produced on assignment for Shutterstock – Delta Airlines “Well Travelled” campaign.

These particular photographs were not included in my final submission to Shutterstock as I didn’t feel they fit the brief, so they have been languishing in a ‘to be archived’ subfolder ever since. As is the case with most of the photographs I don’t submit (to be considered for purchase as stock photographs for use by said company), these shots are composed too closely to my own personal style & do not fit the general guidelines of a broadly re-useable high-quality stock photograph.

Despite being unusable in a professional capacity I wanted to share them anyway as I had a great time capturing them & they contain a variety of fond, profound & emotional memories.

“I wandered everywhere, through cities and countries wide. And everywhere I went, the world was on my side.” ~ Roman Payne

“And this is what being an artist means, being a poet? To sacrifice yourself for your art, sacrifice your heart for your art, because it’s only through something broken that something beautiful can grow.” ~ Charlotte Eriksson

“From all that I saw,

and everywhere I wandered,

I learned that time cannot be spent,

It only can be squandered.”

– Roman Payne

“There’s something about arriving in new cities, wandering empty streets with no destination. I will never lose the love for the arriving, but I’m born to leave.” ~ Charlotte Eriksson

“Never did the world make a queen of a girl who hides in houses and dreams without traveling.” ~ Roman Payne

“She is free in her wildness, she is a wanderess, a drop of free water. She knows nothing of borders and cares nothing for rules or customs. ‘Time’ for her isn’t something to fight against. Her life flows clean, with passion, like fresh water.” ~ Roman Payne
